Hey all. Being that the semester is over and we all have a little more freedom with our schedules is there any chance of seeing some L5R this summer. I'd love to chuck some dice with all of you. Please keep me in the loop if plan on playing anything this summer. Talk to you later.

Cheers,

Rick

Since Jacob rarely gets on here I'll just say that we haven't played in a while, so I'll try to post on here when we're going to play, and let him know to tell you.

L5R will return at some point, I just need to figure out what I'm doing vs. what the cannon does, as well as what the cannon IS because it's bloody hard to track down the little periodicals which contain the storyline as it's played by the CCG players. That's actually how they determine the storyline usually, which rocks, and which is why we should start playing and going to tournaments =P.

Cannon is not all that important! We're playing so far back in the timeline right now that the most updated cannon is not neccesary. Additionally, I don't think you will need to track down the booklets because L5R 3.0 is due out in July. As far as I know it is being unveiled at Origins and then will be available for sale after that.

One last thing Jacob, you are the GM and you can make anything you want happen! Rokugan is your playground. Do with it what you want.

Very Happy

Interesting, I wonder if they are going to stick to D20 or go back to something else.

See I really like the cannon storyline with a few changes, and that's the story I want to tell so I want to find the info on what happened when, older timeline, which I found, which has events that are no more than a few months from where we are right now hehehe. Plus there's more than enough wiggling room within the actual storyline to insert my own bits, I'm going to have to write episodes for most of the stouff anyways, it gives me a framework and something to aspire the players to if that makes any sense mua hua hua. All will become clear.

As far as I know L5R 3.0 will be a retool of the "roll and keep system" used in the original game. I believe they will continue to dual stat the books for d20, but the focus will be on their system. I really like the Oriental Adventures from way back in the day, however Oriental Adventures is not Rokugan.

Either way I'll be getting 3.0. You can check it out at www.alderac.com if you are interested in looking at the progress they have made so far.

Cool, I'd like to take a look at that when you get it.

Actually if the storyline's updated I'd rather the players not get their hands on it until I read it first =P. Fun fun plot spoilers and all that. I'm also interested in what shiny changes they've made hehehe ^_^.
