Starting a thread, quite surprised that there wasn't one for this already.
Just making note of my excitement as I've learned of the naming and release date for the next James Bond film. SPECTRE. Also, Christopher Waltz is slated to play a villian. Awesome.

That sounds fucking awesome. Is it still Daniel Craig, or are they moving to someone new? |

If you want to keep feeling that way, I've heard you want to avoid reading the script. _________________ The voices are back, excellent. |

Wouldn't dream of it, but a little information on the cast and release dates never hurts
And Daniel Craig is under contract for this film and the one after it. _________________ Bears have a way of looking as though they're pretty much satisfied with everything |

Speaking of crappy scripts I was really disappointed with The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies. Jayme and I went to see it Tuesday night and yes the battle scenes were cool, but my problem was that they lasted for 2.5. The lulls in combat were few and far between. It spent what little time was outside the main battle wrapping up story lines invented for the film which I didn't find very compelling. Honestly if the movie were half an hour long I think I would like it a lot more. Splitting the book into three movies was really a mistake. I feel like they should have just tacked some time onto the second movie. _________________ "All that comes out of the exhaust pipes of this porche are baby foxes." |

I heard that Jackson also has another 40 or so minutes for 5 armies for an extended edition. _________________ Playing - RIP Disney Infinity, Bravely Second, Fire Emblem

I mean...the Battle was only like, the last 10-20 pages of the book or something, right? What you just described is exactly what I would expect from that -- basically an extreme version of Return of the Jedi's space combat filler.
And OF COURSE there's an extended version that completely doesn't need to exist. I suspect there will be about five more after that. |

Yeah, I guess i just expected or hoped they'd spend more time on the journey home or in the shire after or something. Your Jedi analogy actually works really well.

Don Hertzfeldt (the guy who did those rejected commercials that we all loved so much) has done 2 things on Netflix. The first is an hour long and is called It's Such a Beautiful Day. It's pretty awesome. The other is shorter (16m), and equally awesome. It is called World of Tomorrow. Watch these 2 things. |
