Nah, figured I'd sleep on it. I probably will, though. As it's inevitable that most of us will end up at different levels, I'd like to dive into it with a couple of other people if we're going to do it. That way, we get a least a little time to play together. Of course, I don't know if everyone starts in the same place, so there's that.

Probably better to just think of it as a single-player game that we might occasionally get to play together, just to avoid disappointment from level difference.

Edit:

If anyone is thinking about picking it up, the Imperial Edition is also in the Humble Store for about $27. Looks like it get you some armor, a mount, and the ability to play as any race in any faction (which might be nice if we all want to stay in the same faction, which we probably do?). I think we have to be in the same faction to play in a group.

Edit 2: Never mind. Imperial is another race, and they can make a character in any faction. The other races are still locked into their factions.

Fyi previous research said that areas in the game are obnoxious large to encourage mount purchases so you will want a mount.

You can get one either way. I think Imperial just gives you one right away, and otherwise you would have to buy one in-game (with regular in-game money). I believe they are rather expensive, from what I've read.

A little more research into the Imperial edition leads me to think that it's the way to go. I haven't picked the game up yet, but I think I'm getting Imperial when I do.

Not a huge surprise. They still let me buy it, though.

I picked it up as well. Can someone shoot me a text or something when you're playing and I'll try to jump on when I can.

^Sure thing.

I tried my link today and it gave me a code, so I guess that's all fixed. Does anyone have a preferred class or faction? I'm cool with basically anything.

Also, just as a heads-up, you'll need about 60gb for the install. Surprised

Edit: (Or maybe only 32, according to the downloader? Except it wouldn't start the download when I had 60 free.)

Edit 2: I'm an idiot and I forgot that file compression is a thing that exists.

Elder Scrolls Online is on sale in the Humble Store again for anyone who missed the first one and wants to give it a shot. Imperial Edition is $32 -- I'd say well worth it.

If anyone is worried about being behind the rest of us, it seem to play more like a single-player game with occasional multiplayer content. Once everyone is leveled up, there's always the PVP to go do together.
