Everyone should download this, it's free, has essentially no player limit, and it easy to pick up at play.

Alien Swarm is free on Steam -- we played a bit of it last night and I enjoyed it. I think we're also going to watch for a Torchlight II sale, since it has coop.

Why wouldn't you just play Team Fortress 2? Cuz that's free on steam too? Am I missing something?

Because tf2 has a learning curve steeper than my living room wall. I'd hold of on torchlight2, I hated it, super boring, no build options, and overly simple combat.

ok, i'll trust you JW, I downloaded TF2 but never played it before. It was free and it always looked entertaining just never tried it. I'm way more of a co op person than a competitive anyway. until there's a bunch of us on a team playing an FPS and then i need to CRUSH the other team like we used to in BF3 on the 360.

I always felt like TF2 was pretty accessible, myself. Only played it once or twice though.

Generally speaking, not tactical enough to be my cup of tea, but not a horrible game .

THIS!!! Hell, how many of us have Monaco? That seems very fun and tactical.

I wanted it to be good so badly, particularly ate Diablo 3 flopped so hard.

i've been out of it awhile, but i was usually middle of the pack when i did play TF2, and i don't consider myself a particularly good FPS player

No idea why I didn't get around to watching the videos for that before. That actually looks like a lot of fun.

7 days to die.
Mixing Minecraft with zombie survival and coop?

Have to watch for when it gets out of beta.

F2P game on steam called Tactical Intervention. I"m not sure what you guys think of it, but it's from one of the guys who made counter-strike. It's a tactical FPS. I'm not sure what that means to them, but i'm hoping along the lines of Rainbow6 or GRAW. What do you guys think?

I have Just Cause 2 and I've played a lot of it, and really enjoyed it. If other people have it and want to check this out, let me know.
