I know there is likely a forum regarding this in Generale Discussington, but as it will be me building it, and it is mechanical, I'm creating this thread. Any and all tips, tricks, and advice will be great. Starting from step 1: reliable sources and makes, and tools.

I'll leave this to Mark. I can help with generalities, but he's a better subject expert.

White Oak Armament SPR Barrel (18" 1:7 twist), w/ gas tube, bolt, bolt carrier, firing pin/retainer/cam pin/etc, and charging handle
Yankee Hill Machine rifle-length free-float tube
YHM low-profile clamp-on gas block
Smith Enterprise Vortex A3 flash hider
Mako Long Ladder Rail Covers
UTG SWAT/Combat profile bipod

Optics:

I have heard of them, but I can't tell you if they're any good. If you just want a general LPK to get started, I'd still recommend Armalite. Did you find a receiver?

I think that I have, and that they were well regarded, but it's just a vague memory. Nothing I'd buy that kit based on.
