Haha, Joe. Awesome, hopefully we can put it over top the existing installation.

John, take a look at this. This can create a 3d map of the current world, then we can use it to preserve the current world and just teleport to an unused part of the world. And maybe setup teleport command block or something to switch between the two parts of the world.

It seems rei's map it's no longer supported or updated but a mod called voxelmap our zan's map has replaced it for most of the features. Voxelmap actually does what Mark it's looking at in the above post too.

I don't think they do the same thing Joe...at least I can find no evidence of it. The link I posted creates the map outside of the game, and viewable by a web browser. The one you posted seems to be entirely in-game.

Also, yours doesn't seem to be compatible with 1.8.1 either.

He's a manager, he doesn't look at technical specifications.

Some renders are happening now. It's pretty cool so far.

(Make sure you let the js run, if you block that kind of thing.)

That looks and behaves as a local url.

Edit: Just added in the the-wired, all is good.

Wow, we really have not touched this map...at all.

Also...I think I crashed the server.

That was intentional. I figured you guys could handle it.

You did. It's back up.

The render of the first server is up now, and I've added crash mitigation to the current server.

That's so neat. Looks like someone's been working on an airship!

Do you mind running that thing again? I built a portal through the nether to teleport us a to a new chunk, not super far away...mainly cause I didn't want to dig through the nether forever, I basically re-used an old tunnel that goes to a nether fortress.

I won't ask you to do this often, I just want to let people see where the new world starts.

As confirmation the chunk was new, I saw a bunny. It was weird, but oddly adorable.

Ok, it's done.

Do you want it to run ever 12h or something like that?

Seems a bit of overkill. I'm sure weekly would be more than enough.
