Good news for Paul, or anyone planning to play D3 on a laptop at starbucks...

D3 uses about 100 bytes per second to maintain a 4 player game, meaning you might be able to run it reasonably well from your house.

Another positive is that they've said there will be a downloadable demo (maybe DL/burn it at the Rauch's) that would let you test how it runs before spending any cash, not a bad thing for any of us since I can't remember the last time most of us got a new PC.

So D3 is coming out on the 15th of May, I'm nto sure if any/all of you are planning to play or not, I've always been really into the series. I plan to take the day off to get alot of playing in. Unforunately that is also "bag day" for the Penn State Book Sale, any size bag you can bring, fill it with books for $5 spend the rest of the year wishing you made time to read them... good stuff.

But anyway, I'm just curious if anyone is planning to get Diablo 3 so I can add you to the friends list so we're not all playing solo.

I got it, they weren't likely going to give me one but since i was actually first to the register through luck and poor decisions on the part of the guys in front of me, they said "just give it to him" and ripped the reservation paper off some poor other bastard. I guess the store didn't get enough to fulfill both the local and online orders and decided to fulfill local first and as many online as they could after, can't say I'd disagree with treating local customers better but I would have made a huge fucking scene, I pre-ordered like day one of it going on sale.

Bad news, less than 8 hours after hitting level 60 my account got hacked.

They cleaned me out, stash, gold everything.

I've been waiting more than 10 hours to get my account restored without any word on if any one has even started looking at it.

A few things to dispel the myths about accounts being hacked.

1) I never logged into a public game
2) There was no key logger or virus on my computer
3) Obviously never send my password to a phisher
4) My password was strong (not as strong as I thought because apparently blizzard hasn't told customers that their passwords are NOT case sensitive, but still not a dictionary word and had numbers and symbols so it should not be brute forcible without blizzard getting millions of tries/failures that I hope they might notice)

I did not have an "authenticator" attached to my account because I don't have a smart phone for the free one and I didn't feel like spending $10 more to have blizzard ship me a device that I'd end up losing and thus losing access to my account.

I'll let you know how things go once I hear back from Customer Service

I find the timing really really suspicious, and since most of the people I know haven't hit 60 yet but the vast majority of the people who are complaining about being hacked have. It makes me suspect blizzard is compromised and too worried about public opinion/confidence to tell people.

Just woke up to find the same thing JW. Only difference is that I have played a public game or 2. Happy Birthday to me i guess. I did find on my recent friend list fjfjdf#1108 was on there. As you can guess, I do not know this person.

Good bye Auction Houses.

Could make this my most anticipated game of the next few months.
