L5R 3e is in my possession! I'm not completely through the book yet, but so far it is fabulous. The book is beautiful. It is high quality and in full color with great interior art.

Clan and schoolwise it has the listings for all of the families and schools of the Great and Minor Clans listed in all of the "Way of" and "Secrets of" books. It also includes notes on running campaigns in all of the major eras of Rokugan. I also really appreciate the update equipment section too. Lots of weapons and gear to choose from. It's very cool.

Systemwise, combat is not as deadly as first, but not nearly as forgiving as second. You can now duel in any field, not just iajutsu.

Okay, that's all I can come up with right now. I just wanted to share that with you all. Also Jacob, I need to speak with you about a few things. Talk to you all later

That sounds pretty cool so far. I think someone will be required to make a tessen duelist. Razz

Couldnt you duel with anything before? or was that just in our universe that the challenged gets to choose the field?

Actually, now that you mention it, I swear the person who was challenged picked weapons....

I'm sorry I was not clear enough. Dueling is not limited to "weapons" anymore. Theoretically you could have a duel in poetry or flower-arranging or maybe a Breakin'/Electric Boogaloo style dance-off if you like.

I believe Jacob has been using that rule the whole time?

Yeah I pretty much let you guys use whatever skills you wanted to challenge someone to a duel in. I just thought that it was implied when they started talking about artisan competitions in the rulebook.
