Discipline, Expertise, and Mastery can be taken in skills only (not stats).

For regular/ground/non-airplane/non-airship skills:

Discipline allows you to reroll all 1s on your initial roll. The second result must be taken, and rerolls to 10 do not explode. Discipline requires you to have at least 3 in the associated stat.

Expertise allows you to count all 1s as non-exploding 10s. Expertise requires you to have at least 4 in the associated stat.

Mastery allows you to count all 1s as regular exploding 10s. Mastery requires at least 5 in the associated stat.

You may only have as many skills with Discipline as you have points in the associated stat. Therefore, if you have a 4 in Cunning, you could have Discipline in 4 Cunning skills. In terms of this limit, Expertise and Mastery both count as forms of Discipline.*

You may only have half as many skills with Expertise as you have points in the associated stat, rounding down. Therefore, if you have 5 in Might, you could have Expertise in 2 Might skills. In terms of this limit, Mastery counts as a form of Expertise.*

You may only have Mastery in one skill in each stat.*

*Examples of distribution of D/E/M:

Associated Stat of 3:
3D

Associated Stat of 4:
4D, 3D+1E, or 2D+2E

Associated Stat of 5:
5D, 4D+1E, 4D+1M, 3D+2E, or 3D+1E+1M

Associated Stat of 6:
6D, 5D+1E, 5D+1M, 4D+2E, 4D+1E+1M, 3D+3E, or 3D+2E+1M

^If I missed any combinations from this list, let me know. I think you get the idea, in any event.

I think I get it now. You just have D/M/E, they don't have a point value (ex: 1,2,3,4). It's like a extra attribute on the skill. Correct?

EDIT: Meant Skill, not stat. Confusing nomenclature.

It's an extra attribute on the skill, not the stat. Otherwise, you seem to have it down. The associated stat's value only determines how many skills can be enhanced, and what enhancements are available. Strictly speaking, the stat itself is unaffected by their use.
