That's so much damn math to keep track of, especially with the decay. Also, spending one daring and using one action to give everyone around you a +10 is sooo overpowered.

I read about 2 lines of Alan's post then blanked out... and I'm a math major!

Thats where the discussion comes in, perhaps its a total roll by divided by or make it take 2 daring to activate or multiple actions, a full combat round of actions perhaps.
I'm just trying to help with some ideas.
Maybe just the degree of success determines the bonus.

Same things added, Roll+Char+Daring but if you get less than 10 (possible for guin) +1, 11-15 gets you +2, 16-20 + 3 and so on.

Crits on this can come under discression of GM as Crits always do.

Botches could give the enemy a bonus or a negative to your own.

If you're adding roll + char + daring and you get less than 10, you ain't getting shit.

Still too math heavy anyway.

Perhaps just a roll mechanic that requires daring to use, no need for math, but the roll and char make the total. No more math heavy than any other roll, and have the sucess chart made up on your sheet so you can quickly identify roll # = group bonus.

ugh.... so glad you don't design games

i think that we should all stop talking about it for awhile, might be over thinking this one a lil too much. Ciel has been fine with out it so far, and as far as i'm concerned it can stay that way until Mark has a grand epiphany or just refunds the xp.

.........or funnels it directly into daring Evil or Very Mad

You know what? Screw it.

Leadership funnels directly into daring. Just add the points right on top. Don't even worry about the math.
